The Operations Resource is a key leader in driving the team to success while ensuring a safe and injury/incident-free environment in our fast-paced plant. What You Will Do

  • Resource to Board Plant, Mill and Paintline to develop, train, coach and sustain best practices and centerline processes.
  • Work closely with S&OP team to establish weekly/monthly runwheel and production cultist scheduling for both the Board Plant and the Paint Line.
  • Drive OEE. Optimize run wheels to extend runs & minimize change overs; improve consistency of runs & crew to crew operations.
  • Maintain optimum inventories of Paper, mat, additives and supplies for the Board Plant and the Paint Line.
  • Maintain accurate finished goods, work in progress and raw materials inventories.
  • Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance in a way that informs leadership of the critical few opportunities to focus on, with recommended actions. Perform Reject analysis and implement Corrective actions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving workplace safety. quality and process improvement opportunities that will result in improved labor efficiency, productivity and promote cost reduction.
  • Be able to stand by in case of production problems and provide support.
  • Lead or assist in developing and executing production trials.
  • Participate in the Production Teams On-Call rotational support.
  • Foster a culture based on our Principled Based Management (PBM) philosophy.
  • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 2+ years' experience managing quality and process improvements in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing data analysis to drive continuous improvement. Adept with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
  • Experience supervising or leading employees within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years' experience managing quality and process improvement in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience managing all aspects of a manufacturing department.
  • Prior supervisor experience in the Gypsum industry.
