Your Job

Georgia-Pacific's Dixie Products division is seeking qualified professionals to be considered for the Process Control Engineer Position to join our Lexington, KY Process Control team.

The individual in this role will be responsible for providing design, implementation, and support for existing and new Process Control systems and must be willing to work different schedules to support production needs.

Our Team

This position will also provide advanced engineering expertise to solve problems and implement changes using process control technologies. This includes developing scope, estimating costs, and designing projects to install equipment and systems that support the improvement operation.

What You Will Do

  • Troubleshoot to evaluate root cause and address technical issues with long-term solutions in mind
  • Develop and execute migration plans for legacy control system platforms
  • Evaluate processes and equipment operation - work with various drives and equipment integration
  • Plan and manage process improvement projects
  • Read and understand P&IDs, loop sheets, and electrical drawings
  • Advanced PAC (Programmable Automation Controllers) programming skills (AB - required)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and configure industrial HMIs
  • Ability to troubleshoot and configure VFDs
  • Able to create drawings and schematics for electrical installations
  • Perform project scope definitions and manage a wide variety of technical projects
  • Communicate and work with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment, yet be self-motivated and accomplish individual goals
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers and leadership
  • Work with a sense of urgency and customer focus mindset

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Degree or higher in Engineering OR manufacturing experience
  • Four or more years of professional experience working with PAC systems
  • Hands-on programming experience and hardware management in industrial process control platforms

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working in converting and packaging
  • Experience with Robotics
