Job Summary

The Belt inspector is responsible for monitoring, removing and documenting any foreign material found on incoming product.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversees incoming of raw material to be free of forigen materials/out of spec product.
  • Maintains consistent flow of material from initial receipt to processing.
  • Monitors control panel and various gauges to ensure process maximum efficiencies.
  • Assists with other tasks in the plant, as directed by supervisor/manager.
  • Communicates issues or concerns with Shift Lead Person or Plant Manager.
  • May be responsible for machinery start-up or shut-down.
  • Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations, and is responsible for maintaining Darling's Food Safety program.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in industrial plant-related activity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work well with others in a team environment.
  • Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task.
  • Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
  • Occasionally push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment.
