GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW: We seek an enthusiastic individual to join our Social Emergency Medicine research team. Our team leads research to identify disparities and, in partnership with communities, to develop and rigorously test novel interventions to solve these inequities. We also train residents and fellows to understand the structural factors impacting the lived experience of our patients and the institutional and population health frameworks in which we function. The Social Emergency Medicine research team is part of the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine and the Emergency Medicine Network (EMNet), a consortium of emergency departments focused on public health research. The Senior Program Manager will lead a portfolio of quantitative and qualitative research projects, help to develop and prioritize new initiatives, and co-create team strategy with the Principal Investigator (PI). The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of clinical research coordinators and project managers within the Social EM program, and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a background in research. Experience in qualitative methods and involvement with large clinical trials is also desirable. The Senior Program Manager will have multiple opportunities for interaction with other researchers in Boston, as well as collaboration with many national and international research groups and institutions. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years of research experience (inclusive of graduate studies) required.
