Senior Accountant - Tax & Cash Management

Position Overview:

Performs work related to cash management, sales and use tax, income, and other tax related issues. Also, does bookkeeping for related entities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

• Verify all daily bank transactions have been recorded correctly in General Ledger.
• Provide daily cash summary for the executives on all accounts.
• Prepare monthly cash projections for CFO and President.
• Manage debt and loan agreement activity.
• Prepare journal entries to post banking activity and other month end close transactions to general ledger.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents for related entities.

Tax:

• Maintain sales tax exemption certificate list.
• Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns monthly.
• Provide required data for annual reporting of all entities.
• Work with external auditors for all tax related activity.
• Monitor all notices from the IRS or state department of revenue for proper response.

Position Requirements:

• Accounting degree, ability to create financial statements. Strong background in tax accounting. Experience in cash management is also helpful. Confidentiality is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, & Word)

Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:

Physical Demands are normal office environment requirements. Normal standing, bending, sitting, etc. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form.
