Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Manager, Procurement in Sinclair, WY. In this role you will manage the procurement activities for assigned plant(s) and may manage warehouse functions/personnel as needed. Ensures procurement provides greatest overall benefit to company; ensures materials, supplies and services are sourced and available when and where needed in the required quantity, quality and price; and systems are in place to provide goods and services within corporate and statutory regulations. Job Duties
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior or other local VP's or managers in their sole discretion. Experience
A minimum of 10 years of related on-the-job experience are required. PREFERRED Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of procurement/ purchasing experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred. Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required. Required Skills
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication; advanced reading and writing skills; negotiating, interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills; proficient in procurement, inventory control and cost containment; knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices and procedures. Ability to perform intermediate to complex mathematical calculations. PREFERRED SKILLS: A C.P.M (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation is preferred. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the direct supervision of up to 10 employees, depending on assignment. Work Conditions
Office based with up to 50% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, fumes and airborne particles. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions. May be required to work extended hours and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and varying road conditions.
