Position Title: Material Handler
Wage: $16.00-$18.00 per hour Shift: 2nd, 3rd Hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm; 10:00pm-6:00am Direct hire positions available! This company is located in Charles City, IA and is hiring Tire Builders. They do an extensive training period on 1st Shift to ensure your confidence in the position once you transition on your own to one of the off shifts. This is a labor-intensive job. This client is a Czech-based manufacturer of off-road tires (agricultural, industrial and motorcycle). They are a company that is very career driven and employee centered. Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Setting up the machines with cord, wire, rubber compounds. - Manually placing final product into storage equipment. - Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. - Set up and operate the Duplex extruding machine, 3 drum rubberizing machine, 4 drum rubberizing machine. - Operate the slitter for cutting rubberized material and placing the cut material into storage equipment. - Clean, inspect, or lubricate equipment or perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on equipment. - Clean work areas. - Load machine hoppers with necessary materials. - Maintain an inventory of materials. - Weigh and mix materials as required. - Wind wires to the bead wire extruder. - Change bead wire wheels on bead wire extruder machine according to production line changes. - Load machine hoppers with cord, using cranes, or load calendars with rubber compound. - Measure and examine extruded products in order to locate defects, and to check for conformance to specifications; adjust controls as necessary to alter products. - Operate shearing mechanisms to cut rubberized cord to specified lengths and angle. - Start machines and set controls to regulate air pressure, speed, and temperature, and to synchronize speed of extrusion. Material Handler Requirements: - Candidates MUST HAVE a proven track record of several years of solid work history.
