Your Team Dedicated to perfecting the Roon and Roon Server products, the Roon team is on a mission to provide users with an unmatched, immersive music experience. What You Will Do Developing desktop and mobile application software for HiFi audio enthusiasts on diverse platforms such as Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android. Engaging in cross-platform software development using mostly C# and .NET-based technologies for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Contributing to systems that manage audio content, music metadata, and audio streaming within local networks. Effectively communicating project status and updates to internal stakeholders. Collaborating with the team to ensure projects stay on track, meeting deadlines and accommodating varying levels of complexity. Working with network protocols in the context of local networks. What You Need Minimum of 5 years of experience working with both desktop and mobile application software design. Extensive experience with C# and .NET based technologies. Strong systems software understanding of data storage, processing, memory management, filesystems, networking, and concurrency. Sound understanding of network protocols and cross-platform development (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux). Experience with automated pipelines for continuous build and integration systems (CI/CD). Familiarization with containerization and virtualization technologies (Docker, VMware, HyperV, etc) and packaging software for these environments. What is Nice to Have Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field. Experience with and Xamarin, Maui, WPF. Specializing in any of the following areas: UI/UX engineering, Mobile application development, Networking, Graphics (real-time rendering or image processing), Audio (playback, management, processing), Software performance profiling, debugging, and optimization. Experience with media playback engines on desktop and / or mobile platforms. A passion for delivering top-notch audio experiences to users and an interest in the audio technology domain. Familiarity with GPU programming and Node.js. What Makes You Eligible Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestically and internationally. Able to work virtually in any US time zone.
