Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Physician I for the Health Services. Reporting to the Director of Student Health Services, the position should be experienced and adept in women's health, mental health care, age-appropriate preventive health services, acute and chronic care, and treatment of accidents and other illnesses.
The Physician I should practice sensitive, holistic care, health education and counseling of patients and follow accepted clinical guidelines. A significant portion of the clinical duties will entail office gynecology.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a current New Jersey physician license MD or DO including residency and board certification.

Certifications/Licenses |
- Medical License registered in the State of NJ
- Board Certified
BLS/ ALS Certification within 3 months of appointment or willing to be certified- NJ DEA and CDS license
|
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Interest in and ability to conduct, preventive medicine, adolescent medicine and health education
|
Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience in college health setting preferred
- Two (2) years of experience including particularity in women's health, general medical practice e.g., family practice preferred
|
Equipment Utilized |
- Computerized Health Records (currently Medicat)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, excel spreadsheets, Outlook, formulating reports and documents for quality improvement, medical equipment, electronic medical record, email, internet. EKG Machine and ultrasound
