Responsibilities

1. Understand overall manufacturing process across the entire organization, including optics fabrication and inspection, coating, final assembly, receiving and outbound shipment via Gemba walk, then work along with Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers as well as Production team to finalize and implement process optimization in the identified operation to continuously improve cycle time, workflow efficiency and productivity via Lean methodologies such as VSM, waste elimination and DMAIC.

2. Simplify, standardize and automate business and manufacturing processes for critical areas based on newly defined standards prior to the introduction of new Manufacturing Executive System to the organization.

3. Develop production Kanban and associated operational dashboards by means of appropriate software tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate and SQL server to provide precise Management visibility for timely corrective actions whenever necessary.

4. Perform time study to determine cycle time of individual manufacturing step so that total cycle time for a product can be accurately calculated. Also, obtain fundamental knowledge about ERP system and support Industrial Engineers in implementing item attributes update and BOM changes for resilient supply chain.


Qualifications

1) Undergraduate in industrial engineering, system engineering or manufacturing engineering.2) Possess fundamental understanding in supply chain and operations with good exposure to Lean methodologies such as value stream mapping, manufacturing waste identification and removal.3) Experienced in using Visio, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL Server, Power BI etc. for automated data analytics and dashboards creation.4) Proactive, self-driven and has a growth mindset in supporting digital manufacturing initiatives for long term, sustainable operations excellence.
5) Solid communication and coordination skills as this role achieves organizational objectives via diverse, cross-functional efforts.

Pay Range:

$25-45/hour
