Molex's TIS (Transportation and Innovative Solutions) business unit is a segment within Molex that specializes in providing connectivity solutions and technologies tailored for the transportation and industrial sectors. This unit focuses on developing and delivering a wide array of products and solutions that cater to the specific needs of these industries. These solutions often involve connectors, cables, components, and integrated systems that address connectivity, data transmission, and control system requirements in transportation (such as automotive and commercial vehicles) and various industrial applications.

We are seeking a Molding Unit Manager who will be responsible for all inputs, outputs and other functions in Molding including safety, quality, materials, planning, production and environmental systems and product quality.

What You Will Do

  • Guide activities in all areas towards strategic goals (PBM, safety, quality, delivery, innovation, growth, profitability).
  • Lead and develop Molding resources to maximize value creation for Molex and self-actualization for the individuals.
  • Guide and direct the Unit in investigating, designing and building new processes.
  • Coordinate the RRE planning process for the Unit.
  • Responsible for ensuring the unit is running as cost effectively as possible. Coordinate activities among Departments (Planning, Quality, Maintenance, EHS)
  • Resolve conflicts or priorities when required to ensure Customer Satisfaction.
  • Enforce company policy and procedures and communicate any changes.
  • Pursue continual cost improvements in daily activities.
  • Actively support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and programs.
  • Responsible for supervision and delegation of work between Production, Process Engineering and the Tool Room.
  • Partner with Molex Rochester Hills on new product and process development.
  • Partner with Molex Guadalajara and Nogales.
  • Member of Campus Lead Team.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in business/technical area or 10 years related experience
  • 5-7 years previous management/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in employee performance management
