Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Manager, Finance Transformation to join the Process & Technology Transformation Team within the Controller's Organization at GP. In this role, you will create value as you collaborate closely with stakeholders from Controllership, Finance, IT, and Business Leadership to define project objectives, develop project plans, and ensure successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. An ideal candidate will be able to manage strategic initiatives using a hybrid waterfall/agile framework. They will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage project scope and resources, and coordinate cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications include experience in a coaching role and an advanced proficiency in project management tools/ platforms for reporting (with preference for SPM ServiceNow). Location: This is a hybrid role based at our GP HQ in Downtown Atlanta, GA.

As a member of the Process and Technology Transformation Team within the Controller's Organization, you will help drive transformation projects that revolutionize accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis practices. By disrupting current processes and leveraging cutting-edge technology, we fundamentally change the way we do accounting, optimizing efficiency, accuracy, reporting, and value across Georgia Pacific.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management for controller process and technology transformation initiatives, across project lifecycle
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, incorporating both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate to the project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including controllership, finance, IT, business leadership, operations to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and resources, identifying risks and dependencies and proactively mitigating issues to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and facilitating communication to ensure collaboration and accountability.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and reporting to stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Oversee change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new systems, processes, or organizational changes, minimizing disruption and maximizing stakeholder engagement.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Proven experience in leading end-to-end project management
  • Experience working on an Agile and/or Waterfall team, with the ability to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets that incorporate the appropriate methodology based on project scope and requirements
  • Experience collaborating closely with stakeholders from various departments to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
  • Proficiency in managing project scope, schedule, and resources, identifying risks and dependencies, and proactively mitigating issues to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and facilitating communication to ensure collaboration and accountability
  • Experience setting up and maintaining project data for reporting and statuses in PM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheets, and Microsoft Projects
  • Experience with change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new systems, workflows, or project outcomes across the organization.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in project management tool SPM ServiceNow
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma
