VP, Global Product Management and Marketing

CareDx offers products, testing services and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients.

The VP of Global Product Management and Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving the success of CareDx product portfolio. This dual-focused role combines global product strategy responsibilities with the leadership of the marketing team to create and execute go-to-market strategies that drive growth and market adoption. The role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both upstream marketing (product lifecycle management) and downstream marketing (brand marketing) for the company's global portfolio of specialty pharmaceutical and diagnostic products.
  • Hire, build, and retain a high-performing and high-impact marketing team provides strategic product direction, impactful brand messaging, clear selling direction, and thought leadership among cross-functional partners.
  • Responsible for portfolio management and prioritization, creating an effective operating model for the marketing organization that aligns with the company's goals and values.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch products from pre-commercialization to on-market execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs, payer requirements, market insights, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the team to create innovative marketing strategies and programs to accelerate adoption and drive advocacy among healthcare professionals, patients, health systems, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage marketing operations, patient marketing, and external agencies to optimize marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Lead the strategic planning process for the marketing function, setting the vision, goals, and priorities for the short-term and long-term growth of the business.
  • Responsible for resource management, budget allocation, and performance measurement for the marketing function.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the marketing team and across the organization.
  • Develop and coach the marketing team, ensuring a high level of engagement, motivation, and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of marketing and product management experience in the healthcare industry, with both specialty pharmaceutical and diagnostic product experience
  • Field sales leadership and other cross-functional experience in the healthcare industry
  • Large team leadership, with manager of manager experience
  • Proven track record of leading successful product launches, managing product lifecycles, and driving brand growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans and results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including field teams, customers, and thought leaders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
  • Innovative, agile, and adaptable mindset, with the willingness to embrace change and challenge the status quo.
