At Inter-Con we take pride in providing customized security solutions for our clients. To us, that means the right officer in the right place and at the right time. In many cases our clients desire a softer security plan that meets their values and needs, but where high value people and assets are involved, others may prefer a more obvious security presence. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that required an enhanced presence and personal protective services. You'll be trained by our team of highly qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. As an Armed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.

Specific Requirements

• Must possess Oregon State weapons permit and state armed guard certification issues by DPSST.
• Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
• Be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have an honorable discharge if a veteran of the US Armed Forces.
• Fluent in both the written and spoken English language.
• Have at least two years security experience.
• Successfully pass background screen.

Duties:

* Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions.

* Detect suspicious activities.

* Watch for criminal acts or rule infractions at or near given post which may be a threat to the facility, client or employees at the site.

* Report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies to the appropriate person.

* Monitors access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems.

* Patrol facility properties with random walking patrols or vehicle and bike patrols, where available.

* Perform safety and equipment inspections.

* Provide customer service and problem-solving.

* Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats; and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion.

* Report unsafe acts and environmental conditions.

* Enforce company and client policies, rules and regulations.

* Escort staff and visitors on the client's property.

* Provide other services as specified by the Post Orders.

* Generate incident reports as needed in a clear and concise manner.

* Complete Daily Activity logs in clear and concise language.

* Perform all essential functions inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.

* Report to work as assigned, and complete shift assignment, including overtime, as assigned.
