Part-Time Faculty: Psychology

Job Description

The Instructor shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Services. The duties of part-time faculty at UACCM include the following:

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Classes taught include but are not limited to: General Psychology and Psychology of Human Development. Night and weekend work may be required.

*Participates in ongoing curriculum development, implementation, assessment and evaluation.
*Utilizes innovative teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population.
*Plans and organizes lesson plans, reference materials, syllabi, technology and other learning aids.
*Maintains professional competence, and participates in professional development activities.
*Performs other related tasks as assigned.
*Candidates for this position must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Night and weekend work may be required.
Successful candidates must have a commitment to working cooperatively with other campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of the College and have the ability to deliver quality student service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Psychology field required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in higher education desirable
