https://uapb.edu/administration/division-of-student-affairs/police-and-public-safety/ Summary of Job Duties:The Public Safety Supervisor is responsible for an assigned shift and/or sub-division of the public safety operation at an agency. Supervises a public safety staff consisting of certified officers and other security personnel by preparing and assigning work schedules, monitoring work progress of subordinate staff, and evaluating job performance. Reviews various reports and documentation submitted by subordinate staff for accuracy and completion and makes revisions as needed. Compiles statistics for departmental and special reports, as required, coordinates or assists in the planning and implementing of security for special events. Conducts special investigations and responds to more complex and difficult public safety situations, informs staff of changes in laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Conducts investigations of crimes, accidents, and reports incidents committed on campus. Attends departmental staff meetings, provides information, and makes recommendations on work area operations. Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent crimes, enforce traffic laws, recognize parking violations, issue traffic citations, and identify safety hazards and violators. Monitor Surveillance Security Cameras and conduct footage review, Broadcast Campus Emergency Alerts, Conduct Camera Functionality Test, Conduct Code-Blue Emergency Phone Functionality Test and maintain status logs. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus four years of experience in law enforcement or related area, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Must be certified by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy as a Police Officer in accordance with
ACA 12-9-106. Must possess of a valid state motor vehicle operator's license. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED
