Part-Time Nurse Practitioner/PA-C - Occupational Health Category: Healthcare Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-378151 Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for a part-time, long-term contract opportunity with Yoh's well-known manufacturing client located in Kansas City, KS. This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees onsite. You will oversee and provide direct patient care and treatment, perform medical examinations, integrate with the local business, support the site emergency response program, and promote health and well-being. Top Skills You Should Possess: Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in state of Kansas Current prescription authority and DEA Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a provider in an Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, and/or Family Practice type setting What You'll Be Doing: Treat minor work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses for employees onsite Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty) Dispense over the counter and prescription medications in accordance with pre-established standing orders to employees with minor work-related and non-work related concerns (back pain, headache, pharyngitis, etc) Provide support and case management for both work-related and non-work-related conditions for the purposes of reducing illness and absenteeism Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site Respond to emergencies on the campus as needed What You Need to Bring to the Table: Must be able to work at least 3 days per week between Monday and Friday: Mondays are for sure needed and can be flexible on the two other days Primarily need flexibility to work: 8:00am to 4:30pm and 5:30am/6:30am to 2:00pm/3:00pm Current BLS National Certification (ie AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) Computer skills with previous experience using EMR Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employers What's In It For You?
