THE ROLE:

As the Senior Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics in the Adaptive and Embedded Compute Group (AECG) business unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our revenue strategy through data-driven insights. You will focus on leveraging analytics to drive AECG revenue growth, solve business problems, and improve operational efficiency. This position is business management-centric with a heavy focus on revenue forecasting and attainment, and involves working closely with various departments such as IT, Finance, Sales, GOQ and Marketing to ensure that our BI solutions align with business needs and objectives. You will focus on leveraging BI and analytics to drive business outcomes, while collaborating with IT to ensure that our systems are effectively supporting business operations without owning IT backend.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics role will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business operations and revenue processes, with a passion for translating data into actionable insights. They should possess extensive experience in business intelligence and analytics, with a proven track record of driving business value through effective reporting and advanced analytics. The candidate must be proficient in using BI tools such as PowerBI, and have a solid grasp of data management practices. They should demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor a team and manage cross-functional projects that align with business objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires close collaboration with various cross-functional teams to deliver tailored analytics solutions. Experience in improving business processes and ensuring data-driven decision-making will be crucial, along with a collaborative approach to working with IT to ensure data and quality needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Reporting and Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive business reporting systems and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and others. Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Advanced Analytics: Conduct advanced analytics to support revenue management, revenue forecasts, and market intelligence. Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and other analytical techniques to drive strategic business decisions. Modeling in Dataiku and other AI/ML tools.
  • Data Management and Quality: Oversee data management processes with a focus on business needs, including data integration and validation. Collaborate with IT to ensure data governance and quality while aligning data practices with business objectives.
  • BI Reporting Tools: Stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools and technologies, including AI applications in business intelligence. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and recommend process improvements to enhance business efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve decision-making through better use of data and analytics.
  • Project Management: Manage BI and analytics projects with a focus on business outcomes. Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure that projects are aligned with business goals and deliver value to the organization.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Marketing, GOQ, and IT to understand data and systems and provide tailored solutions to the business unit. Act as a bridge between business users and IT, ensuring that analytics initiatives effectively support business requirements. Ensure that upstream systems-related projects impacting the business unit's data are planned for, resourced, and tested accordingly.
  • Data Security: Collaborate with IT to enforce data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations, focusing on protecting sensitive business information.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of BI and analytics professionals with a focus on business impact. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring that their work aligns with business objectives and delivers value.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing BI and analytics projects.
  • Proven experience with BI and ML/AI tools such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Dataiku, Salesforce, Einstein, Alation, and LightUp. Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in business intelligence is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data management and analytics with a focus on business outcomes.
  • Prior people management experience
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional projects and delivering results through influence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working closely with business stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Experience in the semiconductor is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance requirements is a plus

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
