Your Role at Baxter

This is where your work saves lives

As the Engineering Specialist reporting into the Sr. Director, Material Science, you will apply specialized materials knowledge and experience to achieve a technical vision for research, design, development, material processing and material characterization where clear precedents may not exist and creative thinking is required. Generate innovative solutions to highly complex problems where little clear precedence exists.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead/create/revise material technology road map.

  • Identify and implement applicable solutions and cutting edge technologies.

  • Lead research planning and execution to achieve the technical vision for the new or improved product/process/method.

  • Technical mentor to material group.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors in Material Science or Chemical Engineering with 10+ years of experience.

  • Hands-on experiences in various analytical tools and test methods in mechanical, chemical,thermal, rheological, morphological, and material processing.

  • Support/lead team members in the creation and implementation of development plans; foster development by providing appropriate challenges for team members.

  • SME in Materials Science and Engineering.

  • Familiar with regulations, policies, global pharmacopoeia, procedures such as GLP, GDP, FDA guidelines, various ISO standards, and ASTM standards.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 to $198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
