Apply School of Architecture Faculty Los Angeles, California The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for a part-time faculty position in Building Science for Spring 2025. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach graduate-level, technical seminar courses on sustainable, high-performance building design and analysis incorporating passive and active environmental control systems. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of measurable carbon reduction and sustainability performance objectives as well as the ability to apply appropriate quantitative analysis techniques, (including appropriate software-based analysis tools) in the context of the architectural design process. Experience with climate/site analysis, building energy modeling and building performance simulation using IESVE and/or Ladybug Tools is preferred. The USC School of Architecture has long been socially minded. Our faculty works to integrate diversity and inclusion related strategies as we train a new generation of future practitioners tasked with imagining a better, more inclusive future. The core salary range for this position is $48.00 - $66.41 per hour. This is a part-time, 37.5% position.
