Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create, implement, and review the business process and application development strategy and ensure global scalability of processes and applications to maximize benefit within business. Each day, you will drive continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by demonstrating sound knowledge of business processes within the relevant industry and acting as an expert in realizing the business's long-term objectives.

Manages end-to-end business processes and supports Business Process Owners in complex areas.
Defines vision and strategies for business processes and applications, collaborating with business owners.
Bridges the gap between Business Process Owners and IS, ensuring integration of business and technical requirements.
Acts as a central contact between business functions and IS, maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
Manages the business IS-related budget, ensuring cost control and monitoring actuals versus budget.
Identifies operational challenges, leads teams to implement solutions, and supervises risk management strategies.

Qualifications for the role
  • 8 years of experience in business improvement projects, within technical manufacturing and/or field service, with 4-year accredited degree, preferred in Engineering, IT or Computer Science.
  • Experience with power equipment such as switchgear, breakers or power devices in manufacturing and/or field service of the power equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of ERP system; SAP preferred.
  • Broad & deep knowledge of theories, tools and practices in business improvement & project & change management.
  • Strong results orientation and ability to improve processes for higher business performance.
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to guide, coach and mentor others.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
