We are seeking experienced Training Coordinator to work from our manufacturing facility in Kings Mountain, NC on our First Shift. The Training Coordinator is responsible for development and oversight of the Manufacturing Learning Management System (LMS), providing technical support. Creating and modifying training materials, ensuring training compliance, developing competency matrixes, collaborating on learning solutions, supporting projects, delivering advanced training, and engaging in self-development.

Position: Training Coordinator.

Reports to: Plant Manager.

Work Schedule: This position is scheduled to operate Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. (May be required to rotate days to nights as business needs require for training or other purposes.) - Chance of Overtime.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise the administration, upkeep, and optimization of the Manufacturing Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop and document training materials
  • Furnish technical assistance for the Manufacturing LMS to plant-level team and end-users.
  • Collaborate with designated plant-level contacts to ensure the adherence of all plants to established training initiatives, processes, standards, and schedules.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across different company departments to coordinate, design, develop, update, and deliver learning solutions, encompassing tools like SWI's, JBS, handbooks, or other visual/audio aids.
  • Develop comprehensive Job Competency Matrixes delineating requisite skills, knowledge, and competencies for proficient performance across various organizational job roles.
  • Efficiently manage document control for manufacturing work instructions.
  • Provide support for diverse system projects and initiatives at all manufacturing facilities.
  • Deliver advanced training and mentorship to plant-level packer trainers, ensuring uniformity and excellence in training delivery throughout the organization.
  • Implement best practices and strategies helping to achieve and exceed key performance indicators.
  • Engage in ongoing self-development under the guidance of immediate supervisors.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned to maintain safety, quality, and production goals.


PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:



  • Previous involvement in food manufacturing.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for training or system support across the organization, up to 25%.
  • Flexible availability to support multi-shift operations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other database software.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Effective at motivating and training others.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

  • Must comply with all relevant manufacturing guidelines for maintaining safety standards.



WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Various levels of noise exposure.
  • Some heavy lifting.
  • Hot and cold temperature extremes at times.
  • Moderate exposure to chemicals.

  • Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through 3-5 years of experience.
  • Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings, work orders and electrical schematics.
  • Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
  • Requires working at excessive heights.
  • Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.

  • Report equipment conditions to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist to complete production by working in the line as instructed by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain inventories of tools and supplies.

  • Perform any other duties as required by Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain complete plant cleanliness. Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability troubleshooting process related issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and others contacted in the course of the work.
  • Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within established times.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadline.
