Production Operator II - EV

DFS Operations is currently seeking individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in our EV line. We are moving towards first beta assemblies. We are looking to compensate with $1.50 per hour (utilizing shift differential payment) employees during the development and training. It's expected that after the beta assembly is completed the employee stays in the current department until we have the production volume to the EV line.

The Production Operator will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of semi-repetitive or unique precision assembly operations where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production drawings or detailed written instructions.

Responsibilities

* Perform the full range of duties necessary to build and assemble units in their respective zone

* Recognize and Utilize all Safety Hazard Controls

* Use and maintain prescribed personal protective equipment

* Ability to complete all required Safety Training

* Wires assemblies and subassemblies per schematics utilizing proper tooling and prescribed processes referencing point to point wiring diagrams

* Perform quality control visual inspections, and functional operations of material and product before and after assembly
* Actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards.

* Perform the job utilizing drawings &/or standard work instructions

* Work with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily Task

* Ensure finished products meet quality standards

* Participate and promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided

* Participate in housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives

* Understand and engage in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement / problem solving in the zone

Requirements & Qualifications

* Ability to complete all required Safety Training

* No history of corrective actions in the last 12 months

* At least 12 months at DFS

* Recognized by peers as a high-contributor to achieving the daily Task

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education level

* Ability to read Engineering Drawings is mandatory

* High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
* Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
* Experience using hand and torque driven tools * Intermediate PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes * Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions in English
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
* Customer focused, both internal and external
* Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities

Mandatory
* At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required

* At least 3 years of experience in wiring assembly

* At least 3 years of experience in troubleshooting products
