Job Description

Ingram is seeking a partnership-focused self-starter with superior interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills to join our team as a Procurement Agent within the Supply Chain department supporting Ingram's Infrastructure Group near our St. Louis area offices In Missouri or Illinois. In this role, you will be supporting Ingram Infrastructure Group and responsible for carrying out all facets of the procurement process and strategies, as well as vendor management, project support and associated administrative functions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Executing supply chain, procurement processes, and vendor management strategies.
  • Overseeing supplier performance, development, and contract management. Negotiating with vendors to secure value.
  • Supporting procurement for grant programs, capital projects, and spare parts.
  • Managing inventory programs and ensure compliance with company policies and grant requirements.
  • Conducting supplier performance reviews, selection, and onboarding.
  • Handling requisitions, POs, and strategic supplier bid processes.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders, analyzing market data, and managing vendor pricing and performance.
  • Collaborating with teams such as terminal leadership, maintenance, and operations for high-quality service.
  • Maintaining knowledge of commodity markets and supply chain factors.
  • Managing supply disruptions and supporting terminals with best procurement practices.
  • Implementing process improvements and expense reduction initiatives.
  • Other duties or tasks as needed to support the Supply Chain department.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2-5 years of experience in vendor, contract, project management, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or terminal operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PeopleSoft or Oracle is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% and take on-call duties.
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • On Call As needed
