The Engineering & Capital Project Manager is responsible for organizing team members and specializes in architecture or engineering, facilitating, reporting, project analysis and general project and engineering support. In addition, this role will augment leadership, coordinate execution of decisions, and assist the Engineering and Capital Project staff in being as efficient and effective, as possible:
Under the general supervision of the Director, Engineering & Capital Projects, assists with planning and managing multiple design and construction projects valued at $5,000 to $5,000,000. Coordinates project scoping and fulfillment actions with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and staff. Track and report project and engineering portfolio status. Gather and document project requirements. Prepare project options, analyses, scoping and estimates. Prepare project test fits. Assists with the development and management of project schedules and budgets. Communicate with project stakeholders. Assists in the evaluation of bids and recommends contractors and vendors. Assists in the management of project implementations (cost, time, quality). Coordinates project activities with other Project Managers and administers WSRE PMO. Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors Assists in planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments. Assists in the Inspection of buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations. Help prepare engineering and project proposals, timeframes, schedule, and budget. Prepare project briefings, track and report project budgets and projections. Assist in the preparation of bid documents and manage bid process. Assists in the preparation of project contracts and purchasing documents. Review and approve invoices. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of architecture, construction management, structural, civil, mechanical, and electric engineering, and contract management. Ability to work with and understand AutoCAD, Procore or other Project Management Software. Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, problem-solving, commitment, creativity, professional responsibility, and judgment. Excellent project management skills related to project development and construction, including scheduling, budget, and accounting practices. Familiarity with engineering and construction administration processes (minutes, RFI's, pay apps, scheduling, etc.) and other general administrative processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools including MS Project

Pay Range: $85,700-$127,500 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.Successful candidates will be offered employment in a specific title, as determined by the candidate's education and experience. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND's sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
