HVAC O&M F&S Specialist III

What you will do:

Under general supervision, performs general maintenance duties or minor technical tasks required to maintain structures, equipment, building and grounds.

How you will do it:

• Performs routine repair of structures, which may include wall repairs, carpet installation, sanding walls in preparation for painting, painting, etc.
• Observing assigned areas maintenance issues, reporting items in need of attention to supervisor, making routine repairs as requested.
• Assisting in materials inventory.
• Performs routine building and safety checks on heating, cooling and other equipment.
• Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instruction.
• Performs a variety of maintenance functions related plumbing, electrical, A/V, security, carpentry, doors, and hardware
• Running errands, i.e. retrieving supplies/materials for tasks, holding objects (materials requiring more than one person), cleaning-up after completion of tasks.
• Able to work in occupied areas of a functioning administrative and secure facility
• May operate various grounds, housekeeping, or construction equipment to perform required service.
• Moves furniture and equipment as assigned.
• Ensures all light fixtures are operational, changes light bulbs as necessary.
• May assist in layout, construction and repair of a variety of plant or office structures such as walls, partitions, doors, concrete forms, raised floors, ceiling tiles or roofs.
• Assists in layout for equipment installation.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested

What we look for:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read labels, directions, work orders, etc.
• Requires two to three years of general maintenance experience or two to three years in previous Generalist positions.
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
• Ability to work second or third shift, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
