Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Patient Access

Join Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in our Data & Analytics Department with a focus on Patient Access Analytics.This is a pivotal role within our innovative Digital, Informatics, and Technology division. In this dynamic role, you'll manage and optimize key clinical information systems, including the electronic health record (EPIC) while playing a critical role in decision support, health information exchange, and knowledge management. Position Overview:

    Collaborate with business users to understand processes, gather requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for dashboards and reports.
  • Design and optimize dimensional data models to enhance the reporting infrastructure.
  • Identify project risks and proactively work with the team to ensure timely delivery within the project scope.
  • Create ad-hoc reports, queries, and develop test plans to ensure high-quality reporting solutions.
  • Provide leadership by identifying system deficiencies, analyzing problems, and implementing corrective actions to improve performance. Serve as an analytical thought partner to Patient Access leadership
  • Become deeply versed in the operational needs of Patient Access and own the strategic roadmap for iteratively developing analytical products in support of those needs.
  • Manage individual analytical products and projects (both independently and in collaboration with the current Strategic Analyst) from "question to answer" including problem framing, data collection and validation, exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, visualization, and synthesis.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years demonstrated ability developing reporting solutions against relational and dimensional underlying data in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming, deep knowledge of relational database design principles, and Tableau / data visualization & BI tools
  • Experience with DB2, R & Python programming a plus
  • Exposure to SAFe or agile methodologies a bonus
  • Epic Cogito, Caboodle and Clarity as well as Patient Access Data Model Certifications a plus

  • Proven track record of achieving results, even under challenging circumstances.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills to meet organizational goals.
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships and communicate effectively across different audiences.
  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and carrying out communications based on that understanding.

Additional Information:

  • This role is based at MSK's 633 Third Avenue location.
  • Schedule: Full Time, Hybrid onsite 3 days a month
  • Reporting to the Associate Director, Analytics

Pay Range: $120,200 - $192,300
