JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking to hire a Financial Associate to assist with processing financial submissions in a large academic department. Primary duties include:

  • Processing all graduate student financial documents to include travel, goods & services, reconciling p-cards, non-purchase and purchase orders, and other expenses;

  • Assist current Financial Associate with processing faculty travel and goods and services;

  • Review specific budgets in SIMBA to ensure funds are available for travel/purchases;

  • Communicate Department and College policies/procedures to graduate students and assist with completing documentation needed to submit expenses; and

  • Assist Proposal and Awards Generalist with expense reports as needed.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work.Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Education and Experience:

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 2 or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and within a Team. Experience with SAP Concur and SIMBA preferred.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $55,500.00

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
