Description:

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to lead and execute audits across our operations, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and the effectiveness of internal controls. The ideal candidate will identify areas for improvement in workflows and controls, collaborate with teams to enhance processes, and report findings to management. A strong background in finance and auditing, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in IT and project management are essential. This role involves travel within the Americas and offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement in a dynamic, international environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure effectiveness of operations, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
  • Identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities in company workflows and the internal control system.
  • Develop recommendations with the business to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, structures, and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess audit scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Present and report audit results to relevant management.
  • Monitor the implementation of agreed recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of the audit plan, policies, and enhancement of the internal control system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, business administration or a related field, Master's preferred
  • 3+ years relevant professional experience with finance and process auditing and analysis in an international industrial company or in an auditing firm
  • Audit-specific certifications such as "Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)" are an advantage.
  • Commercial skills and technical experience in IT, SAP S/4HANA, and project management are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Independent and proactive working style.
  • Enthusiastic about innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel, spending one to two weeks per month on audits within Americas, with the remaining time preparing for and following up on audits either in an office or remotely.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional foreign languages like Spanish will be an advantage.

  • Job Environment: This role is in an office setting with standard equipment usage, including a computer, printer, copier and phone. Regular communication and frequent standing, walking, and utilizing office equipment are part of the job.
  • Vision: Necessary for document review and computer use, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Speech/Hearing: Sufficient for in-person and telephone communication.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for typing and writing is required, along with reaching.
  • Mobility: Adequate for medium to large office navigation.
  • Lifting: Occasional lifting/moving up to 10 pounds may be needed.
