Description/Job Summary:

Provide and assist in the maintenance of the government accounting and financial records, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and various journals and ledgers, as assigned. Assists government personnel with the creation, receiving, and processing of invoices submittals per internal and federal guidelines. Processes financial entries and adjustments balances to the general ledger, prepare management reports, as assigned

Required Experience/Skills:

Calculations, processes, posts, and reconciliation of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank records and statements. Preparation of a variety of financial statements and invoicing and administrative support for financial and project support and close out. Experience in balance records; reviewing of invoices and related documents; reconciliation differences; researching and assembling information from a variety of sources for completion of forms or the preparation of reports.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Basic methods and procedures of accounting, bookkeeping, records management, office functions and financial transactions. Basic methods and procedures of payroll functions and processing. Basic principles and practices of budget preparation. Basic principles and practices of audit functions. Principles and methods of excellent customer service. Modern office practices, methods, and computer equipment including relevant software programs. Operation of office equipment including personal computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, voicemail, and e-mail systems, etc
