Your Job

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for introducing new products into the manufacturing environment starting with the contract review process. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Estimating, Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure that new products are launched on time and are set to meet all quality requirements. This customer-facing role will assist in expanding current manufacturing processes and capabilities utilizing new technologies.

What You Will Do

  1. Contract Review
    • Create initial manufacturing routing sequence
    • Formalize bill of material (BOM)
    • Build shop floor work order packet ensuring quality documents are ready
  2. Process Design and Optimization:
    • End to end busbar manufacturing process development (from raw material to components process and to final assemblies), overall manufacturing process owner, guiding team for the best manufacturable process & the best cost process development
    • Support the design and development of manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability
    • Research and spec new equipment
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
    • Act as a liaison between the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and other departments, facilitating clear communication and collaboration
  3. Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support to production teams during the ramp-up phase of new products
    • Help troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to ensure smooth production transitions
    • Train and develop production staff on new processes and equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process design, validation, and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Experience with new product introduction (NPI) processes and project management.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and/or NX
