Clay Center is a welcoming, rural community with a population of around 4,100. It is known for its safe, well-maintained environment and friendly, hardworking residents. Located close to Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, Clay Center offers the charm of small-town living with the convenience of access to higher education and cultural activities.

About the Practice

This thriving dental practice features a large, modern facility with seven operatories and the potential to add another as needed. The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide a wide range of dental services, including general dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and oral surgery. The dedicated team, many of whom have been with the practice for over a decade, is committed to ensuring each patient receives top-quality care in a comfortable setting.


  • Patient Demographics: Serving a diverse mix of patients, the practice focuses primarily on families and the elderly.
  • Services Offered: The practice offers comprehensive in-house dental services, from basic restorative procedures to advanced treatments like endodontics and oral surgery.
  • Technology and Equipment: Equipped with a digital scanner (iTero), CBCT machine, and intraoral cameras, and utilizes Dentrix software for efficient practice management.
  • Financial Overview: The practice enjoys a robust patient base and a very high collection rate, reflecting the trust and satisfaction of the community. The monthly production average is strong, ensuring a consistent flow of patients and opportunities for income growth.
  • Insurance: While not accepting Medicaid, the practice is in-network with several major PPO plans, including BCBS, Delta Dental, and United Concordia.
  • Patient Volume: Providers see an average of 30 patients per day, including both scheduled and emergency cases, as well as regular hygiene exams.
  • Staff Structure: The team includes two hygienists, a suprascaler, two dental assistants, a front office staff, and an office manager. The new dentist will be supported by two dental assistants and additional staff as necessary.


Office Hours


  • Schedule: 2 days per week, with flexibility on the days worked. Preferred days are Tuesday and Wednesday, with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications


  • Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid state dental license and malpractice insurance.
  • Experience: Preferably 2-5 years of experience in general dentistry. Experience in implant, oral surgery, and endodontic procedures is highly valued.
  • Skills: Effective task delegation, proactive management of performance expectations, and strong communication skills with patients and team members.
  • Compliance: Commitment to adhering to all local, state, and federal dental and healthcare regulations.
