Join Our Team as a Full Time Banquet Captain at Fairmont Olympic Hotel!Are you a natural leader with a passion for orchestrating exceptional banquets and events? Fairmont Olympic Hotel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to lead our banquet operations. This role is pivotal in managing and or supervising the banquet floor by providing engaging, sincere, personalized service. In the absence of the banquet manager or banquet director, the Banquet captain will require to attend Banquet Event Meetings and Pre- Conference meetings. The Banquet Captain will ensure that all standards, procedures and guest satisfaction objectives are met and exceeded on a consistent basis. What is in it for you:

Key Responsibilities:
- To be an ambassador of the hotel, in and outside the work place.
- To provide a personal service to all the guests, fully aware and following the hotel standards and procedures.
- To ensure that all guests / visitors receive a warm welcome, cordially greeting them, upon arrival to the banquet floor for their function.
- To ensure that all guests / visitors receive a fond farewell, cordially greeting them, opening the hotel doors and helping them into their vehicles, as well as bidding them farewell.
- To assist staff member to insure they maximize their service standards
- To manage any guest complaint in a professional manner, by owning it, resolving it to the guest satisfaction and recording it.
- To be fully aware of and to report all guest complains or comments.
- To read and update the logbooks and to ensure a proper handover between the shifts.
- To strictly respect the key handling procedures.
- To respect schedules, terms and deadlines as agreed with the Management.
- To be updated with the latest administrative, organizational, operational or other changes and news.
- To share daily activity highlights with the supervisor, including internal and external guest opportunities.
- To be entirely flexible and adapt to last minute request through the hotel or guests.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Customer services experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and handle a multitude of tasks, colleagues and guest requests
- Passion for guest service, strong guest service orientation and training skills required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a variety of hours/days/holidays/weekends as business needs require
- Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
