Risk Assessment Manager I

RK&K is currently seeking an experienced Risk Assessment Manager to provide professional risk expertise in the oversight of FTA-funded major capital transit projects. The Risk Assessment Manager I will review project sponsor's risk management plans and supporting documentation and is responsible for performing risk and contingency reviews for FTA-funded major capital transit projects by serving as a technical resource and subject matter expert in risk assessment and mitigation. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from any location.

Essential Function

• Perform risk and contingency reviews for FTA-funded major capital transit projects by serving as a technical resource and subject matter expert in risk assessment and mitigation
• Review project sponsor's risk management plans and supporting documentation

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program
• OR a Bachelor of Architecture from a NAAB Accredited Program
• OR licensure as a Professional Engineer in the United States
• Certification as a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP or DRMP) is required
• Knowledge in performing probability modeling using factoring and Monte Carlo as well as other comparable simulations for risk analysis related to cost and schedule values
• Minimum of 7 years of overall experience working on risk assessments with 3 of the 7 years in passenger rail or related transportation modes
• 3 of the 7 years of experience planning, designing, and implementing an overall risk management process for an organization
