Short Intro and About the Job

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We have an opening for a Continuous Improvement Manager in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of IWS for the site. You will be responsible for leveraging processes and executing process improvements and/or upgrade programs for the organization at the factory and corporate levels. Must be a change catalyst with strong communication and time management skills. This role will primarily lead IWS (Integrated Work Systems) and CI (Continuous Improvement) for the site.

This role may require travel (domestic / international) up to 10%.

In this role, you will:

    Lead IWS for the site. Owns all associated systems including Defect Handling, Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, and Tighten, and Centerline Management including their integration into Daily Direction Setting, Daily Management Systems as well as other systems, tools, processes as they relate to the pillars and IWS implementation
  • Responsible for implementing and leading IWS for the site and building SME's / pillar owners to drive the change
  • Implement process to assure effective best practice sharing and accelerate mutual progress
  • Owns development and execution of a portion of the overall Continuous Improvement roadmap implementation across North America to deliver results in all SQCDMN areas
  • Provides internal coaching to site leadership teams on CI system implementation in order to make breakthrough improvements on OEE/Site Capacity. Strong skills in clearly communicating the why (intent) and the how (execution)
  • Drives productivity and efficiency gains through reduction of Planned and Unplanned Downtime in order to contribute to yearly productivity and OEE goals
  • Responsible to establish a culture of empowerment and rigor through building capability in leaders to develop equipment owners in their sites through IWS
  • Ensures that performance OE/OEE capability is built into project deliverables for new line installations and line relocations
  • Coach and mentor plant line trios and leaders on CI strategy & implementation, best practices and role of a CI manager in a IWS environment
  • Partners with multiple functions (EHS, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to facilitate CI system integration and improvement
  • Spends significant amount of time on the production floor daily to drive focus and results

About You

  • You have a bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field, required. Master's degree, JIPM certification, or 6 sigma certifications, is a plus.
  • TPM/IWS demonstrated mastery required.
  • You have experience leading CI and TPM implementation across a plant or multiple plants for a pillar.
  • You have manufacturing leadership experience in positions of increasing responsibility demonstrating excellence in results delivery and standardization of processes.
  • You have experience with manufacturing in a FDA regulated environment, required, preferably within a food and / or liquid processing manufacturing environment. Previous high-speed dairy and aseptic processing experience is a plus.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the entire organization from hourly employees through executive leadership.
  • You have the ability to build positive relationships with plant leadership teams, corporate continuous improvement team and other functions as necessary.
  • You have proven ability to improve results & increase efficiency through practical application of CI principles.
  • You have developed leadership skills and have ability to lead in accordance with our leadership principles of Danone Behaviors.
  • You have experience leading an organization through a culture change with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You have in-depth knowledge and capability to train others on IWS, Direction Setting and Daily Management systems.
  • You are process oriented, a team player and a self-starter who also has excellent planning and organization skills.
  • You are able to support a 24/7 production environment. Work schedules could include early mornings, nights and weekends as business needs dictate.
