Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst, Intermediate to join our team on an upcoming Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) Support Program.
Duties & Responsibilities
Implement and support VA's cybersecurity architecture, including Zero Trust and TIC 3.0 frameworks.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat modeling for VA systems.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance VA's cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with NIST, CISA, and OMB directives.
- Support the security integration of mobile technologies and medical devices within the VA infrastructure.
- Collaborate with teams on DevSecOps pipelines to enhance secure software development practices.
- Develop and implement security patterns and guidelines for VA's cybersecurity ecosystem.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and security compliance in line with VA policies, Federal mandates, and Executive Orders.
- Assist in developing training materials and conducting sessions for VA personnel on security best practices and system updates.
Qualifications
- Active or ability to obtain a Department of Veterans Affairs Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on ZTA, TIC 3.0, and DevSecOps.
- Proficiency in implementing NIST frameworks (800-53, 800-37), CISA guidelines, and OMB security policies.
- Experience with security in mobile technologies, medical devices, and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture development, risk analysis, and design patterns.
- Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and automated security testing tools in DevSecOps environments.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH preferred.
