Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Senior Training Specialist/Instructor to join our team on an upcoming contract supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on cybersecurity principles and technologies including TIC 3.0, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), mobile technologies, medical devices, and DevSecOps.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and deliver training materials, presentations, and workshops on advanced cybersecurity topics including TIC 3.0, ZTA, mobile technologies, medical devices security, and DevSecOps practices.
- Design and implement training curricula that align with VA's cybersecurity policies and standards, including NIST, CISA, and OMB directives.
- Train VA staff on the application of cybersecurity reference architectures, risk analysis, and design patterns, ensuring they meet industry and government standards.
- Collaborate with technical experts to ensure training content reflects the latest technological developments in the field of cybersecurity.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback to improve content and delivery methods.
- Assist in developing role-based training for VA personnel focusing on secure software development lifecycle (DevSecOps) and cybersecurity architecture frameworks.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to trainees to ensure the practical application of cybersecurity knowledge in their daily work.
Qualifications
- Active or ability to obtain a Department of Veterans Affairs Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and delivering cybersecurity training programs.
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, including NIST, CISA, and OMB guidelines.
- Proven expertise in Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) 3.0, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), DevSecOps, and mobile security technologies.
- Experience in developing training materials related to cybersecurity architecture, including reference architectures, risk analysis, and design patterns.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
