Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer, Intermediate to join our team on an upcoming contract supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This position will focus on modernizing cybersecurity practices within VA's systems and implementing advanced security frameworks.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design and implement cybersecurity architectures, including TIC 3.0 and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), to enhance VA's security infrastructure.
- Support and secure mobile technologies, medical devices, and related systems in compliance with VA policies.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop security patterns aligned with VA's evolving security requirements.
- Participate in the integration of cybersecurity solutions with DevSecOps practices, ensuring secure development and operations environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities across VA systems.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity reference architectures and ensure their alignment with NIST, CISA, and OMB directives.
Qualifications
- Active or ability to obtain a Department of Veterans Affairs Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- Proficiency in security frameworks such as TIC 3.0, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and DevSecOps.
- Strong knowledge of NIST, CISA, and OMB cybersecurity guidelines and policies.
- Experience with mobile security and medical device protection is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, security policy development, and compliance with federal cybersecurity mandates.
