GENERAL FUNCTION

The Vice President of Field Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of the field sales team. This individual will lead efforts to develop and implement effective sales strategies, optimize sales processes, and expand the company's market share. The VP of Field Sales will work closely with cross-functional teams, including service, operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional results.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Leadership & Strategy:


    • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for the field sales division to meet company objectives and revenue goals.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage regional managers ensuring the achievement of sales targets and the professional development of team members.
    • Establish clear sales goals, performance metrics, and reporting systems to track and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies.


  • Sales Operations:


    • Optimize field sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Implement best practices in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that technicians are adequately trained and equipped to meet customer needs.


  • Market Expansion & Business Development:


    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets for expansion.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
    • Lead efforts to introduce new products or services to the market, coordinating closely with the product development and marketing teams.


  • Customer Focus & Relationship Management:


    • Ensure a customer-centric approach in all sales activities, focusing on understanding and meeting the needs of customers.
    • Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention, leveraging customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.


  • Financial & Budgetary Responsibilities:


    • Manage the budget for the field sales division, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
    • Analyze sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy as needed.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in sales, with at least 7 years in a leadership role, preferably in a field sales or technical sales environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large sales teams and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations, including forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute complex sales initiatives.
  • Experience working in a technical or field service environment is a plus.
  • Results-oriented with a strong drive for success.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
