Overview

Provide administrative support for the Office of Continuing Medical Education. Maintain database using CME Tracker in documenting attendance for all CME activities. Coordinate fiscal and registration functions that support all activities.



Responsibilities

    Maintain CME database by monitoring and/or entering details associated with CME activities.
  • Manage and modify department website.
  • Draft and monitor evaluations for all CME activities and disseminate follow-up evaluations when needed.
  • Coordinate entire registration process including onsite.
  • Distribute course registration confirmations electronically.
  • Assisted with the promotion of conferences, grand rounds, and on-line courses
  • Prepare Cash and Credit Journals and allocate all incoming credit card, check and cash payments accordingly.
  • Assist with reconciling internally designated grants.
  • Communicate with CME Committee members regarding upcoming meetings.
  • Answer the phone and route calls appropriately.
  • Various typing, filing, copying, faxing, and mailing.
  • Maintain office files.
  • Assist the office with conference and grand rounds needs upon request.
  • Order office supplies as needed.
  • Assist the CME Assistant Dean as necessary to meet the goals of the CME office.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Secretarial/administrative support experience required. Bachelor's Degree and/or experience in health related field or education preferred but not necessary. Must have proficient computer skills and be able to learn new software applications. Basic decision making skills, as well as math skills, use of a calculator, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, typing, use of fax machine and telephone skills required.
