We're looking for a Director of Data Engineering to join our ever-evolving Worldpay Cloud Data Platform team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About The Team

Our Tech and Security teams keep us moving each day, no matter where we are in the world. From the hardware to the networks and everything between, they humbly make it all happen.

The Worldpay Cloud Data Platform team provides WorldPay big Data capabilities including large scale data processing, analytics, fraud platforms, machine learning engineering, stream processing and data insights. Worldpay Cloud Data Platform team help maintain and advance cloud data platforms and services to build data products powering our business services and customers.

What You'll Own

As part of the Cloud Data Platform leadership, you'll be responsible to lead Platform Engineering teams to build a world-class platform that is highly scalable, secure, compliant, and self-serviceable. You will bring in the best practices, collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements, provide thought leadership to the team, build repeatable patterns, and evaluate best in class tools and technology that suits our needs. You will also integrate key FinOps principles and best practices to maximize cloud ROI.

  • Standardized Data Ingestion Patterns and Platforms

Where You'll Own It

You'll own it in our thriving Cincinnati hub. While we're a large team of Worldpayers based in North America, we have collaborative spaces and regular opportunities to celebrate with each other in person.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience - post-graduate education desired.

  • 10+ years of Big-Data experience including building data platforms in cloud. Preferably using AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, equivalent services.

  • Leadership skills with experience in driving large projects and implementing applications in a shared services environment.

  • Experience with large-scale Transformation Programs and Fortune 500 companies

  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience with formal Architecture Frameworks and or building security and network architecture diagrams.

  • Experience in the Payments and/or FinTech Industry.

  • Experience in Agile principles and methodology.

The pay range for this full-time position is $145,900.00 - $245,120.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
