Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), the Senior Director, Corporate Controller will oversee Akebia's financial reporting and accounting processes. The person in this role will lead the team in implementation and identification of process improvements and optimization of our business processes across the Company to ensure scalability and efficiency. Serving as a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Corporate Controller is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to work in a fast-paced, dynamic biotech environment. The Controller is expected to use their experience to train and develop the team. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and public company financial reporting and internal controls requirements. The person in this position will lead the coordination with external and internal auditors and partner with business stakeholders, including FP&A and Tax.

Compensation: Targeted Base: 219,714.92 - 271,412.55* *Base Compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Base pay is only one component of the company's total rewards package, all regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or the incentive compensation program (if applicable), as well as equity.
