Role Profile:

The Integrated Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production of assigned products utilizing a variety of tools including Excel, SAP and OMP integrated planning software. The position requires analytical skills, strong influence and communication skills, and the ability to develop and execute complex plans in support of business, customer and manufacturing strategies. The position leverages chemical product knowledge and commercial insight in support of the business units, customer service, manufacturing and technology.

This position will be site based in Kingsport, Tennessee, US

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a detailed master production schedule (MPS) that supports business strategy and communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimize supply plans to maximize value through a focus on asset optimization, plant balancing, logistics costs, inventory control, and product transition minimization.
  • Contribute to S&OP supply meeting to develop consensus with demand plans.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities/demand and provide assessment of supply capability.
  • Model "what-if" scenarios and propose optimized solutions based on variable supply/demand conditions.
  • Identify constraints and propose alternatives where demand plans cannot be met.
  • Determine if order commitment and/or sales allocation plans are warranted and propose plan modifications required to meet goals.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate variances from plan.
  • Manage and resolve variances and exceptions.
  • Maintain bulk and packaged finished product, raw material, intermediates and by-products inventory levels within targets.
  • Identify and support inventory optimization opportunities.
  • Assist with inventory adjustment analysis including storage location proposals.
  • Identify and recommend options for alternate methods of supply (AMS).
  • Manage plant-to-plant raw material / packaging stock transfers.
  • Interface with Materials Handling, Manufacturing, Logistics, QA, Receiving, Purchasing, and other planning groups regarding RM procurement issues.
  • Provide forecasts to procurement as dictated by Master Production Schedules (MPS) or S&OP Plan.
  • Seek optimization opportunities across the value chain in collaboration with Supply Manager.
  • Participate in the Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP/Tactical Business Review (TBR) meetings for the respective areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, preferred.
  • Three plus years-experience in forecasting, supply chain, manufacturing, and/or business preferred.
  • APICS, CPIM, or CSCP preferred.
  • Outlook, Microsoft applications (especially advanced Excel skills), SAP; experience with planning and scheduling software.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral, along with strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including ability to drive improvements, make decisions, influence others and seek consensus.
  • Ability to work at operational/tactical level as well as contribute at strategic level/develop strategic vision.
  • Self-starter showing strong initiative and demonstrated team player.
