Job Summary

Under the direction of the AVP, Research Business Operations and Technology, the Director will lead the Research Systems & Analytics (RS&A) team within the Office of Research & Innovation (ORI). The incumbent serves as the subject matter expert and is responsible for oversight, management, and support of all research systems, data, reporting, ORI websites, and all associated training and communications for the university. Under the Director's leadership, RS&A will develop a comprehensive understanding of policies, business processes, and governance models within the research enterprise and use this knowledge to ensure it is well-supported by information systems. The Director oversees two direct reports who are responsible for various operational aspects of the RS&A organization.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, business, or similar field of study or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 7 Years of relevant experience
  • Oversight of full ERP implementation lifecycle, change management/training, data management and analytics, digital communications, supervision and professional development of full-time professional employees.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree
  • 10+ years' experience implementing and managing electronic research administration systems preferably at a large academic research institution.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in university research administration operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding and leadership in the development and enhancement of automated workflow/processes and systems that support electronic research administration and reporting.

Additional Information

This position is classified as Exempt, Grade N. Compensation for this grade ranges from $90,430 - $135,640. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
