Zayo is seeking a Finance Director to lead strategic long-term financial planning, monthly reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders, act as the finance governing arm in deal model reviews, facilitate annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, and support ad hoc projects. Our Finance Director provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely analysis and feedback to support management decision making and drive favorable financial outcomes for the business.Our Finance Director will directly support our VP of Corporate Finance.

*We're open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our Denver, CO office (1401 Wynkoop).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain long-term planning model in alignment with the corporate strategy

  • Support the maintenance and development of capital modeling capabilities (current and future state debt stack)

  • Take a leadership role in monitoring and facilitating investment decisions

  • Ownership over Monthly Operating Reviews and Board Prep

  • Build strong business partnerships across the enterprise to drive strategic alignment and facilitate management's decision making

  • Partner closely with the business and PMO to ensure work-streams stay on track and deliver value

  • Craft and coordinate communication, planning, analysis and reporting

  • Maintain ownership of cash flow forecast, interest rate forecast and assist Treasury team in cash planning

  • Sets, drives and executes strategic plan and influences strategies across multiple stakeholders

  • Frequent communication with key leaders and equity owners to drive informed decision making

  • Influence and lead other cross functional team members outside of span of control. Leadership Focus

  • Provides leadership and direction across Corporate Finance

  • Creates and drives execution of talent development strategies to ensure capabilities needed to drive success

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced critical thinking and modeling skills

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate business results and concepts to finance leadership, non-finance leadership, and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of strategic business planning and continuous process/performance improvement

  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices and tools relating to financial analysis and the development of program metrics

  • Ability to understand financial and/or operational reports, analyze data, identify improvement opportunities and implement effective responses

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, interpret requirements and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written communication, and in presentations to leadership/management

  • Ability to develop and implement effective policies, standards and procedures relating to matters under defined scope of responsibility

  • Ability to identify compliance deficiencies and/or systemic weaknesses and implement timely corrective action

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with major course work in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline

  • Minimum of 10 (ten) years of total experience with a minimum of 5 (five) years direct FP&A experience

  • Minimum of 6 (six) years of Leadership experience, preferably working within the tech and telecom industries

  • Deep familiarity with financial accounting, modeling and analysis

Base Pay Range: $125,000 - $180,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
