Summer 2025 Internship Opportunity

Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: May - August 2025

Seeking an Applications Engineering Intern to assist the Applications Department in providing a method to extract data from existing databases. This will involve developing a front end to interface with the database.

Location Type: This is an onsite position in Nashville, TN.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Query the database to compare executed jobs (recorded project data) with the quoted effort (proposal generated) in labor and material budgets, broken down by various project size ranges.
• Develop a method to extract historical cost data by assembly.
• Develop a method to extract historical cost data by component/detail.
• Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data.
• Collaborate with process owners, developers, and other IT team members to design and implement efficient systems that meet both business and technical needs.

What You'll Bring:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Have SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) capability (a plus).
• Be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects.
• Have experience dealing with results, metrics, and data management, and the ability to create and build new processes.
• Communicate effectively and easily with cross-functional teams.
• Work both independently and within distributed team structures.
• Possess good interpersonal and presentation skills.
