Responsibilities

Arcfield is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a passion for making an impact to join our team. To be successful in this role, you should be a self-starter eager to own your processes and drive meaningful changes in the department. The ideal team member should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and possess the ability to conduct a wide array of accounting duties and take the lead on projects, as needed.

  • Develop, manage and maintain schedules and prepare account reconciliations for various accounts including, but not limited to, intercompany (to include newly-acquired entities), accrued payroll and benefits, leases, and income taxes.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and refine reconciliation of payroll liability accounts and resolve discrepancies with process owners.
  • Monitor intercompany activity and prepare month-end reconciliations and eliminations.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis.
  • Update and develop process documentation for assigned tasks, including recommendations for process improvements.
  • Comply with and enforce all company policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Work cross-departmentally to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Support the accounting team on special projects, as needed.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, or 3+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Experience with government contracting

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of Deltek Costpoint experience
  • Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Familiarity with SaaS

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and operational accounting
  • Exceptional work ethic and commitment to organizational success

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

Educational and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant highly preferred
