Business Job Title: Product Marketing Coordinator Intern

Job Summary:

Overall responsibility is to assist the product team in the development and execution of product processes. Responsible for managing critical product management processes an implementing improvements, as needed and communication status to key team members. Ability to think with an entrepreneurial spirit and be accountable for your responsibilities with a strong desire to be independent and confident with given tasks to be completed.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the creation of product training materials for both internal and external customers.
  • Assist in the surveillance and evaluation of competitors' product/programs, market and industry trends.
  • Assist in the collection of marketing requirements used for business case justification for new product development scopes.
  • Assist in the collection of data to help develop long-range strategic plans for product categories.
  • Assist with developing presentation to management.
  • Assist with MAP Pricing File to assure assigned products with correct pricing in MAP Pricing List.
  • Assist in setting planograms and displays for key customers.
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate project status and issue and maintain launch plans to all stakeholders.
  • Assist the Segment GM, Product Director, Product Managers and Channel Manager and other EV Segment employees in developing and executing other key projects, as needed.
  • Assist in leading teams and projects as assigned or provide marketing representation to cross-functional teams as assigned. Utilize team leadership skills to drive accountability. May be requested to present projects to management for approvals and updates.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams. This will include gaining information and possible alignment for relative project needs.
  • Maintain an overall communication contact and collaborative effort, with other regional areas, for performance and system consistency and efficiency.
  • Assist in managing critical product process including post-launch tracking, product information management, and product launch communication.
  • Assist the product management team with marketing deliverables for new product development projects, such as "go to market" plan, digital marketing, market research, business intelligence, trade shows, advertising, promotional, merchandising, public relations, and marketing communications recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation for trade shows, customer visits and other field sales travel required by the product management team.
  • Support development of annual marketing strategies, budgets, and plans and overarching brand and channel strategies.
  • Gain general understanding of product categories. Will need to know where to find product information including product specifications, product images and information.
  • Assist with SKU set-up process for product team.
  • Proven initiative with ability to understand an objective or outcome and work independently with little oversight to deliver expected results.
  • Some experience using MS Excel for organizing large volumes of data and Power Point for presentation development.



Job Requirements:



  • The ideal candidate will be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with teams comprised of diverse functions and backgrounds.
  • Able to handle a broad range of activities with a "can do" attitude.
  • Willing to ask questions, as needed, to maintain accuracy and timeliness to complete project/task.
  • Highly motivated, extremely organized and detail-oriented. Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good teamwork skills. Able to motivate and manage peer groups and cross-functional teams in achievement of goals.
  • Proven ability to drive to completion on time and within budget, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter able to manage own time and tasks while holding self-accountable.
  • Understands project management principles. Experience with a deadline driven environment.
  • Able to adapt to a fast pace ever changing environment.
  • Proactive approach in supporting others to exceed expectations and beat target deadlines.
  • Intellectually curious with a firm understanding of general business and financial principles.
  • Creative thinking and ability to provide new ideas/concepts for "continuous improvement" for processes.
