Job Description

Pay Range: $66,800 to $79,885 per year

With guidance from production scheduler and plant sales manager, this position will be responsible for being the point person at the plant for all production planning efforts, including providing scheduling guidance to the plant to ensure the production schedule is adhered to in order to service our customers on time and in full.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as point person for Corporate Production Planning team to communicate issues or changes to production schedule.
    • Consult with production scheduler and sales manager regarding concerns to schedule or orders.
      • Recap notes should be sent out from (twice) daily production meetings
  • Work with production scheduler to ensure plant is following schedule accurately and orders are produced in-full and on time.
  • Hourly checks with management team to ensure production schedule is being adhered to.
    • Monitor customer orders to ensure they are on track for need to leave time
  • Timely report out to Plant Management and Corporate Production Planning team all production issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure product does not age out and is used timely.
    • This will include rework as well as overruns
  • Complete all product management tasks related to new product roll outs.
  • Develop and maintain process for accurate system planning for production.
  • Serve as primary contact for customer ready times, order issues and general customer needs.
    • Update shipping and customers for shipment delays
    • Follow up on credit and credit issues

Additional Functions:

  • Special assignments as needed and vacation coverage for the department.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, statistics or related field - preferred
  • Two years' experience with production planning scheduling required, 5 years preferred
  • Inventory Control experience preferred.
  • Strong Computers skillsproficient with Microsoft Office and SAP Systems
  • Excellent communication, organization and planning skills.
  • Strong Customer Service values.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with a wide variety of employees and departments.
  • Have the ability to influence through indirect authority is essential.
