As a Substation EIT/Coordinator you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and your responsibilities will include:



  • Communicate and work collaboratively under the direction of Project Managers, Project Engineers and more Senior Engineers & Designers.
  • Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements
  • Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage) and substation systems
  • Work on designs that typically include one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cabling sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.
  • Prepare specifications and redlines (as-builts) drawings for construction work packages.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Perform all other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT/FE certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT/FE certification, will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT/FE certification for career progression.
  • Preference given to local area candidates.
  • Substation design experience highly preferred.
